Just received my Ebay purchase of Crayola Jumbo crayons from Mexico. Seller claimed they were new, one has a broken tip and it appears to have been that way for a while. Also added 7 new color names, Apple Red, Aqua Blue, Blue Purple, Carrot, Green Grass, Mandarin Orange and Purple. Testing showed Apple Red is scarlet, Aqua Blue is Aquamarine, Blue Purple is blue violet, carrot is orange yellow, Green Grass is green yellow, Mandarin Orange is orange red and Purple is violet blue. Besides the Purple crayon, there is also a violet crayon. The violet does not have the purple in parentheses like the US violet crayons.

Strange things going on with an Ebay seller. Noticed Thursday, January 12th an experience seller listed about 20 different Crayola products. Friday morning I purchased 3 of the items. Friday afternoon I receive an email from Ebay telling me the listings for the items I bought have been cancelled and the items are no longer available. The seller's sold items list shows 3 Crayola products, 1 which was one of the items I bought. The prices shown on the sold listings was significantly higher than the original listings. All were sold the to same buyer. Sent a message to the seller to find out what happened, received a 3 word reply, "no longer available.

In the original listings the seller claimed to have obtained a large Crayola collection and would be listing them over the next few months. The seller also said if anyone was looking for any particular packages, let him/her know. I'm am going out on a limb and guessing the seller found someone willing to buy the whole lot. That is a shame for folks like me that collect Crayola crayons for fun and don't want to spend a fortune doing it.

This is the sold listing for the box I bought but it was listed at $3.00.

Update on January 19. This seller has relisted many of the crayons listed before at crazy high prices. Think I will pass on these.
